We looked at the illustrations in the book and tried to spot all the clues to different fairy tales. Then we thought about the characters of Rose and Jack and wrote questions to ask them. We 'hot seated' the characters to answer the questions and took it in turns to be Rose or Jack. Then we drew a storyboard to show Jack's side of the store,y after some role play to act it out. In the afternoon, we built our own tunnels and drew our own versions of the pictures.
