House System
The House system at Flintham allows every child in school to feel a sense of belonging by becoming a member of a particular house group; ash, oak, silver birch and beech.
Throughout the year the children take part in house activities where they work in their house groups. House groups consist of every year group in school, allowing the younger children to work with the older children.
Children have worked together during World Book Day, Science Day and Potted Sport's Day. Every half term we have a paired reading session within the houses. Here the older children read picture books to the younger children and the younger children read their reading books to the older child.
